Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - How movie tension done well, makes a film better....
This movie is fascinating on several levels, not the least of which is the tension it provokes in wanting to see past the action happening on screen. Anna and Juan's relationship and how destructive it is on not just themselves, but everyone with whom they come in contact. It's a movie that you'll continue to think about after it's all over.

This is a great movie. It's interesting to see what a great actor Antonio Banderas always was, even as a young man. He's probably the bravest actor on the planet. Law of Desire proves that.

He's so conflicted here and his sister manipulates him right down the drain. He's driven to save himself but he can't, she's too powerful. He finally pulls away but he's left alone, with nothing. She came to him eyes closed and she left that way.

Juan's self-imposed exile ends with the arrival of his sister, Ana, as he reluctantly resumes their uncestuous relationship. Wanting a normal life, but unable to resist the desire for and comfort in Ana's embrace, his conflicted actions affect those around them in surprising ways.
