![]() Rating: - hmmGotta wonder with a name like that? Purchase for friend. They liked it. I watched it but as a non-fan it didn't really excite me all that much. I've seen better concerts from bands I am not fans of before. Rating: - Goo Goo Dolls - Live in AlaskaThis is a fantastic DVD of the Goo Goo Dolls playing live in Alaska. The cool thing is that instead of doing the "unplugged thing" on MTV, they play acousticallly on glaciers and in other remote parts of Alaska. The scenery is beautiful, and it is fun to see the band interact with the people who live there. The Dolls seem to really be enjoying themselves, especially Robbie, and you can tell how well it translates into the music. My faves include: the iceberg, the high jump with the locals and Johnny jokingly complaining about the non-smoking bars. I also have the Alanis in the Navajo disc, but this is visually more exciting. Rating: - Goo Goo Dolls "Unplugged" in AlaskaGoo Goo Dolls - Live in Alaska (Music in High Places Series) What a hidden little gem of a video. This is so awesome. The scenery is breathtaking and the music is beautiful. It's great to see the band interact with the locals.....mud sliding with the children, sledding with the dogs, and just plain having fun. John is correct, he does have an awesome job being able to play his guitar on top of a 12 foot chuck of ice. If you are a true GGD fan, RUN, don't walk to get this one. It's worth ... Read More |
