If you love the English language - this is a must. Good for families as it does not delve into sexual inuendo. Rating: - Classic!This collection captures Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie at their best. Splendid farce that bites at its subject matter without going overboard or losing the joy of it. Great for all ages but it is best for those of us who have been around long enough to catch some of the more obscure references. Rating: - Take a chance, you will love it!When i purchased this set i had never seen an episode, but i was familiar with actors, the set was at a bargain, so i took a chance, and i am glad i did.The settings are wonderful, no expense spared and the acting is, of course, top notch, wish i had a Jeeves!To the casual viewer that might be put off by the time period and might think the show to be along the lines of a Merchant-Ivory film,trust me , it's not and thank God for that! :) |
