Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
Reanimation is the evil twin of Linkin Park's 2000 debut, Hybrid Theory. While plotting their next studio album, the Southern California band enlisted some of aggro rock's leading lights, as well as some of the more enlightened underground MCs and producers, to slice and dice all the songs on their debut (including a few bonus cuts that made it to their Japanese release). Linkin Park allowed their special guests--including Korn's Jonathan Davis, Staind's Aaron Lewis, Orgy's Jay Gordon, the Roots' Black Thought, and Jurassic 5's Chali 2NA--to run riot through their songbook, tweaking melodies, writing new lyrics, and sometimes changing the entire intent of the originals. As a result, this collection of 20 songs is Mr. Hyde to Hybrid Theory's Dr. Jekyll. Most of Linkin Park's atmospheric and melodic moments have ended on the cutting-room floor--along with the self-consciousness that pervaded many of the songs--replaced with a brash impudence that's more rap than rock. Chali 2NA entirely changes the landscape on "Forgotten," shape-shifting the song into an alien being dubbed "Frgt/10," which takes you to a dark, desolate place with only your own disturbed thoughts and some electronic bleeps for company. And that's enough. This is a masterful art project that truly succeeds. --Jaan Uhelszki

Album Description:
This is not just another remix album. All the songs of Hybrid Theory have been reinterpreted, plus 'High Voltage' and 'My December.' Just a few of the remixers/featured artists (since the list is so long) include Jay Gordon (Orgy), Evidence (Dilated Peoples), Aaron Lewis (Staind), Chali 2Na (Jurassic 5) & Black Thought (the Roots). Digipak. 2002.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Hybrid Theory Gets Gangsta?
I am actually one of those people who enjoy Linkin Park's music. I feel that their combination of nu-metal and rap works fairly well and has lead them to some great music. This, however, is a disgrace to anyone who enjoyed their music.

The CD consists of their Hybrid Theory CD remixed with a few other tracks. The remixes are mostly horrible and are very annoying. They basically just took Hybrid Theory and turned it into a badly made Rap album. The new tracks aren't good either and I'd ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Another thing
WHY IS EVERYONE SEEMING TO HATE THIS ALBUM! These Remixes are awsome!! Sure some of it isn't that great; Stef, Chali, Riff Raff, X-Ecutioner Style. But for those of you few WHINERS who whine about everything you don't like and won't buy a CD just because a couple songs aren't good, why don't you save your money, buy an iPod and download the songs off Limewire or iTunes or whatever you would download songs with. So SHUT UP and downloads the songs you want and put them on your iPod and feel special about ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - AWSOME REMIXES
Opening - A good instrumental start for the album.
Pts .of .Athrty - 8/10 Not much difference but a great remix!
Enth E Nd - 9/10 My third favorite on the album. Very rap-styled.
Chali - Just a phone call by Chali 2na to Mike Shinoda. Weird.
Frgt/10 - 7/10 First one I ever heard. Very rap-styled, too.
P5hng Me A*wy - 8/10 This is soft rock. But it's still good.
Plc.4 Mie Haed - 9/10 Rap-styled.
X-Ecutioner Style - 5/10 Contains profanity. And it's kinda dumb. ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Amazing Surround Mix
This is one of those DVD's that you put in your DVD player, crank the sound, then sit down and close your eyes. It will take you somewhere else. Chills will run down your spine, and you'll wonder how you ever listened to music in stereo. The stand out tracks are Krwlng, 1Stp Klosr, My{Dsmbr, and P5hng Me A*wy.

If you have a surround system, are fan of Linkin Park, and want to hear something that you won;t forget. Buy this DVD-Audio disc.
