Rating:  - How fragile we areThis is a brilliant intimate outdoor concert attended by a few lucky fans at Sting's home in Italy. Most songs have new jazzy arrangements that I like better than the studio versions, maybe because the musicians seem to be playing with heightened passion. There is a nice balance between old and new songs and they're all good, but for me, the following stand out. "Fragile" is such a great song (maybe Sting's best) but this version is dripping with empathy and blows the studio version out of the water. ... Does anyone know if he has, and what DVD is it. I love that song. Rating: - StunningWhat planet is the reviewer "William" on? People, this was a stunning concert and so fresh and vital. Not some rehashed, night after night reconstitution of the norm. Sting is very emotional in this and brings every thing he has to the event along with all the musicians he invited to share the night with him. Please give this a chance! Brilliant musicians, the likes of Christian Mcbride and Chris Botti, in a setting that will never be repeated. Bravo! |
