I was looking for not only something that was cute, but I especially was looking for a frame that can be used for many more years to come. I just received my frames today and I could not be happier. However, I was also concerned with the issues several people have had with the impression not sticking to the adhesive tape. First, I sincerely apologize for this. Next, the primary reason this may occur is if the impression has not fully dried prior to mounting using the tape. What happens is that the tape absorbs moisture out of the impression material ... My son was only 4 days old when I took his foot impression, and I still had enough left over to take his hand also! And don't worry if your little one squirms, 'cause all you have to do is roll it up again and flatten it out. I't took me 3 try's to get his foot just right(due to the fact he kept wiggling his toes!)and the molding clay still worked beautifully, with no sign of drying ... Rating:  - Velcro and hot glue worked better!This is a wonderful keepsake. We imprinted our son's foot when he was only a week old and used a picture from his birth. The directions were clear and easy to follow and the mold clay stuff was easy to use. You can smoosh it up and do the imprint multiple times until it looks the way you want it to. However, once we hung it on the wall, the footprint kept falling down in the frame. I ended up using velcro and hot glue and it hasn't budged since. |
