Listen to Jerry Herman's score, and dance around the living room when a sequined Streisand arrives in a club as Louis Armstrong strikes up the title tune for her benefit. I was only 14 years old, and I was completely captivated and under the spell of the movie's magic. I had occasionally heard Barbra sing on television specials, but Dolly was the first time I'd seen her on the big screen. For some reason I missed seeing Funny Girl when it was first released.
