Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
Drug addiction couldn't stop them, nor could the ascension of alterna-rock and the process of aging. Not only are Aerosmith still together, but they're still recording hit singles. Since their formation in the early '70s, the band has scored a multitude of platinum albums and Top 40 hits. Moreover, Aerosmith remain a flamboyant, energized live band capable of recapturing that magical, sexual endorphin rush of youthful rock & roll abandon. Yup, on a good night, seeing Aerosmith is like experiencing your first time all over again. So it comes as no surprise that this band's double live disc is no mere trip down memory lane. Vocalist Steven Tyler still sounds raw, untamed, and on-key, shrieking as passionately as ever and reaching notes Robert Plant and Ozzy Osbourne would sell their kidneys for. And guitarist Joe Perry's bluesy, blustery rhythms and piercing solos still echo with passion and hunger. The first disc is a bit bogged down with '90s material, but the band performs stellar versions of "Love in an Elevator," "Livin' on the Edge," "Cryin'," and "Janie's Got Gun." It's the second disc that really sizzles, as the Toxic Twins dip into their drug-addled past and unleash monsters such as "Back in the Saddle," "Dream On," and "Sweet Emotion." Get your rocks off! --Jon Wiederhorn

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - 23 tracks of pure rock'n'roll
i wasn't even an aerosmith fan before having this album. i actually owned it on audio cassette, originally, i'd bought it for 99 cents at a sidewalk sale...but this is top notch rock'n'roll, from start to finish, hard rockin' tunes mixed with gutsy ballads. plus, the unpolished sound adds some attitude to the cd.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Go see them live instead.
A nice collection of the biggest Aerosmith tracks that lacks in a few areas. They should have gone back and listened to their own Classics Live releases. Most of the tracks didn't vary much from the studio versions, which would have added an added value to something that is audio-only. In fact, the only track that has any speical work done on it is Eat The Rich with the special intro. Also, it would have been nice if they had been able to use a live version of I Don't Want To Miss A Thing. Really, ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Celebration Of Rock 'N Roll
I picked up this album at the local FYE not expecting much, and only purchasing this because I am a die hard Aerosmith fan. But when I booted up my computer and burned this disc, I was blown out of my chair. "Eat The Rich" is a stunning opening, with Steven's banshee shreiks, right on down to the shining conclusion "Sweet Emotion", I think album is for any rock fan, not just Aerosmith.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fantastic Live 2-CD Set - Worth the Price!!!
I previously owned this CD but it was destroyed, along with all of my other cd's, in Hurricane Katrina. I had most of Aerosmith's music and this is the first one I'm replacing.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Rock defined...
Man I've had this CD for what now? 8, 9, 10 years? Today I got a really good pair of headphones and had a very subtle itch for live rock... sounds like destiny was setting me up for a surprise.
I took my ages forgotten "A little south of sanity" and I can say I am still catching my breath...
Just play "monkey on my back" and listen to the Tyler scream that starts at 0:57" you'll see what I mean.
This is how God intended rock to be played.
Now the CD itself or track listing doesn't ... Read More
