Customer Reviews
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Need updated edition
This particualar edition is copyrighted 2001. There are strong travel advisories at this time for foreigners traveling to this area. Currently, there's (sometimes violent) politcal unrest in Nepal, as well as gas shortages affecting travel. Still, would like to know how these conditions affect the trekking industry and if people can still travel safely in this area.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Invaluable for trekkers
I found this book a very useful resource when trekking to the Everest base camp. You'll find everything you need here - resources for planning your trip, itineraries, and general information on weather, food, health tips and more.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Very detailed and informative
Very detailed and informative guide. I find Lonely Planet's books to be consistently the best.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Lonely Planet Trekking in Nepal
Purchased as a gift - arrived in very short order and in great shape - what can one say about a book?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Must Have Guide
If you are going the Nepal to trek, this is an invaluable guide. I was in Nepal for three weeks and I used this book everyday. Stan Armington knows Nepal better than anyone. He has help from people like Jamling Tenzing Norgay and many others. This is an essential guide to the trekking in Nepal.
