Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Artemis's mother has contracted a deadly disease--and the only cure lies in the brain fluid of African lemurs. Unfortunately, Artemis himself was responsible for making the lemurs extinct five years ago. Now he must enlist the aid of his fairy friends to travel back in time and save them. Not only that, but he must face his deadliest foe yet...his younger self.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Artemis Fowl, book 6
I got this book for my son for his 11th birthday. He loved it. He read it so fast.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not Eoin Colfer's Best
Having faithfully followed the Artemis Fowl series since its beginning, I have to say I was a bit dissapointed with The Time Paradox. In the previous books Colfer was very good at continuity, but in AF:TTP he decides to ignore the characters (i.e. Minerva Paradizo) he brought in during The Lost Colony. Although I was not a big fan of Minerva's (I found her pretty irritating), I read AF:TTP wondering where she had gotten to, or if she would show up later in the book. She does not. Despite this, I ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Green cover, Green agenda.
What this book is really about is green propaganda. I am all for conservation, etc but PLEASE don't beat me over the head with it when I am just wanting a good read. I adore the other AF books and think they are creative genius. However, I got 30 pages into this one and wanted to barf. There was some reference to conservation, ecology, pollution and/or (I kid you not) carbon footprints every couple of pages. I was just so annoyed at being preached to that I had to stop reading. Come on, Colfer! The ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Why change readers?
I, too , was incredibly disappointed by the reader choice for this 6th Artemis Fowl adventure. A similar situation occured during the A Series of Unfortunate Events and ruined the middle of the series (even more of a shock moving from Tim Curry with his British accent to Lemony Snicket with his American accent!).

If the initial reader is unavailable, why not simply hold the audio until he or she can read it?

This reader (and Lemony Snicket) would be great for certain titles, ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Book
A great addition to the Artemis Fowl series. If you like the other books in this series, you'll love this one.
