The profound, lighthearted wisdom embodied within is not theoretical; it is absolutely authentic. Not only will this book help you on many specific issues, but it will point you toward your own wisdom and will encourage you to question your own mind, using the four simple yet incredibly powerful questions of Katie’s process of self-inquiry, called The Work. Katie is a living example of the clear, all-embracing love that is our true identity. Because she has thoroughly questioned her own mind, her words shine with the joy of understanding. “People used to ask me if I was enlightened,” she says, “and I would say, ‘I don’t know anything about that. I’m just someone who knows the difference between what hurts and what doesn’t.’ I’m someone who wants only what is. To meet as a friend each concept that arose turned out to be my freedom.” Average Rating:

If you are a fan of Katie, or you do "The Work" this will be a nice addition to your library. Rating: - Question Your Thinking, Change Your Life by Byron KatieThese Byron Katie tidbits are well chosen, entertaining & they pack a transformative punch. I keep this book near me & whenever i need to turn my consciousness around--whenever my thoughts have me suffering--i open to any page. It always works. Byron Katie doesn't traffic in the "spiritual" or in banal self-improvement. Her work is profound. It holds up a mirror to your reality. It annihilates suffering. We are lucky to have her. Rating: - I Used To Be A Byron Katie Fan - No More!I got taken in by Byron Katie's "work", used to think it was great. It seemed to "work" in the beginning. Over time I started finding holes in it. Bigger and bigger holes. Then I did some internet research and learned that people have been reporting big problems with Byron Katie and her method. I've come to agree that she's full of it. Under NO circumstances do I recommend taking a seminar with this woman. I urge you to do a search for "Byron Katie" and "cult" and evaluate the info ... Read More Rating: - Another Gem from KatieI am a huge fan of all her work, and The Work. I even have a copy of two of her books that are hard to find because they are no longer in print. I have most of her CD's and DVD's, and many more hours of old cleanses on tape and CD, along with a lot of her old work on mp3. Any yet there are many quotes in the book that were new to me. I just love her musings about life, and she covers so many subjects in this little gem. |
