They enjoyed it so much they finished it in 2 days and can read all the letters by sight now. I know grade one is so basic, like others have stated, but my kids had fun and got to learn the concept of braille and how their new sister will read. It sparked interest to learn more and made them feel more connected to their sister. I highly recommend it for children. For adults looking ... Rating: - Learned braille in a day - keep in mind that it is for beginnersThis book is great for beginners and as the title says for people that can see. I am looking forward to teaching and also learning how to read and write in braille when we use this book. We will be using it in January and I can't wait to share this book with him. Rating: - Good Place To StartI think that this book gives one a good place to start learning braille. However, like other reviewers have mentioned, this is *extremely* basic. The only raised dots on my copy were the alphabet on the back cover. I think that an improvement to this book would be if there were some pages devoted to raised dots. That way, this book would be an even better and effective way to learn braille. |
