 Rating: - The book for medical manThis book is not in detail as bibles of infectious diseases, but it is still worth reading. For an ID man, this book should be used as a supplementary one not a texbook. For its small size, disease pathogenesis can not be dicussed in depth and this is the major drawback of this book. For general internalists, this book is a good one that you can find numerous infectious informations. Update is also necessary for this book. Rating: - studied for the ID boardsI used this book to study for the ID boards in 2001. I found it well organized and thorough enough for most topics. The travel medicine sections were excellent as were the sections on bacterial infections. The chapters on viral infection could have been a bit more thorough but were for the most part adequate.
