Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Best-selling author Scott Kelby pairs up with Matt Kloskowski to deliver the definitive book on using Photoshop Elements 6 to create the best possible images. With this newest release of Photoshop Elements, Scott and Matt show readers how to work with their images like a pro, from importing to organization to correction to output. Readers will learn all they need to know about the digital photography workflow, as well as the latest secrets of the pros to help them create the best special effects, apply the most useful sharpening techniques, and avoid many of the hassles and problems that are encountered in digital photography (such as digital noise and color halos).

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good overview, short on details
On page xv of this book the authors describe my major beef with it when they say, "I tried not to put things in this book that are already in ever other Elements book out there". While the content of the book is really very good, it leaves a lot out. If you are new to Photoshop of any variety, this book is not for you. It is a collection of individual "recipes" for making various corrections and adjustments. I am not new to Photoshop so they all make sense to me, but it still would have been ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great for MACs too
I used to be a PC user and have loved Elements since version 3 and Kelty's books on it's usage. I recently switched to a MAC for numerous reasons and purchased Elements 6 when it came out. I have purchased several books for MAC on its use but none where as good as the PC versions by Kelty. I wrote to his site only to be told that they did not have anything for the MAC and was disappointed. I happened to be in the mood to just try the book as I found that a lot of what was in his PC version 5 ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - where are the missing pages?
this book would be excellent except for the publisher's screw-up on the pages in chapter one where page 17-33 are missing and some pages are repeated. an email to the publisher has, tp date, remained unanswered.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Scott Kelby's Done It Again
I first bought Kelby's guide to Photoshop Elements 4.0. I was flabbergasted at how easily I learned to do fairly complicated things with the program, and have eagerly upgraded to each new book as I upgraded my software. I whiten teeth and eyes with ease, and have even used his direction to add (or subtract!) people to or from photos.

The best thing about these books is their inclusion of EVERY step, for each technique taught. He doesn't skip steps because he assumes you know them-- it's ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent Teaching Book
I have a number of books by Scott Kelby and find his writing easy to follow and I always learn something new. The book itself had alot of the same examples as the Elements 5 book. I know that the book is written for the beginner so that was appropriate. I am hoping he comes out with a teaching book with more advanced topics. Great book and would recommend for anyone using Elements.
