Editorial Review:

Product Description:
How do you know if you’ve found the one? Can you really love the one you’re with when you can’t forget the one who got away?

Emily Giffin, author of the New York Times bestselling novels Something Borrowed, Something Blue, and Baby Proof, poses these questions—and many more—with her highly anticipated, thought-provoking new novel Love the One You’re With.

Ellen and Andy’s first year of marriage doesn’t just seem perfect, it is perfect. There is no question how deep their devotion is, and how naturally they bring out the best in each other. But one fateful afternoon, Ellen runs into Leo for the first time in eight years. Leo, the one who brought out the worst in her. Leo, the one who left her heartbroken with no explanation. Leo, the one she could never quite forget. When his reappearance ignites long-dormant emotions, Ellen begins to question whether the life she’s living is the one she’s meant to live. At once heartbreaking and funny, Love the One You’re With is a tale of lost loves and found fortunes—and will resonate with anyone who has ever wondered what if.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - LOVED it!
This is another winner from Emily Giffin. Ever since reading SOMETHING BORROWED, I have been hooked on her books. This story is not quite as rich as her other books, but I think it is by far the most easy to relate to your own life. Everyone has that "what if" person. The writing is, as usual, very good, with lots of thoughtful and funny sections. I would recommend it without reservation to anyone who has enjoyed Emily Giffin's books in the past.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - You won't be able to put it down!
In Emily Giffin's fourth novel, LOVE THE ONE YOU'RE WITH, Ellen has a wonderful life with her husband Andy. She has a successful career as a photographer and she truly believes her life to be perfect. But after a chance encounter with her ex, Leo, Ellen's life goes into a tail spin. For Ellen, Leo was "the one who got away," and his reappearance in her life makes Ellen question everything about the life she's chosen.

What makes LOVE THE ONE YOU'RE WITH stand out for me is the writing. ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Don't Love the One You're With
I didn't love it. I was so excited to read this book after reading Emily Giffin's other works, Something Borrowed and Something Blue which I thoroughly enjoyed, however, Love the One You're With is probably the least of my favorite. The book dragged a bit, especially the details of the lives of other people in Atlanta - who cares! I wish there were more scenes with Leo and Ellen. The book was so predictable. I will still continue to read Giffin's work, but I'm hoping the next one will be better!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - What if...
Ellen Graham is happy. She's newly married to Andy, a successful photographer and has the love and support of her family. She doesn't question her life or the choices she has made that led her to her current life. That is until, one brief moment, she sees Leo. Just like that her past becomes an unwelcoming invasion in the present.

Ellen quickly finds herself at a crossroad. The "what if" question quickly turns into an obsession as she finds herself constantly comparing her life with Andy ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fantastic!
I brought this book along with me on my late summer vacation and didn't expect much but a light, entertaining read for the pool. What I got was just that, but also something else. The book is a very insightful examination about relationships and why we choose to be with the people we're with. It is a very honest look at how hard it can be to settle into marriage and the challenges of giving up your old life for a new one. The characters are painted so well that you can really feel their struggle against ... Read More
