Product Description:

A shy Louisiana librarian, Mary Warner fears she'll always be alone, so she answers a personal ad from a rancher in Montana. Marrying a man she's never met is reckless, but something about him calls to her.

Tragedy made Travis Thompson the guardian of three orphaned children. Determined to keep the kids out of foster care, he places the ad, and is surprised to marry a mysterious southern woman sight unseen.

It could be the mistake of a lifetime, but Mary might be what this broken family needs. With a little faith, a little trust, and a lot of love, two lonely hearts might just discover the true meaning of miracles.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Was not hooked by this book
Debbie Macomber was the keynote speaker at a conference I attended. I had never heard of her before or read any of her books. I bought Morning Comes Softly because of Mrs. Macomber's uplifting speech and waited in line to have it personally signed. I'm not a knitter so I this book seemed the most interesting. I couldn't wait to immerse myself in this book when I got home. Unfortunately when I starting reading it, I quickly lost interest in the first few pages and had put it down. Her writing style ... Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not one of Ms. Macomber
Travis Thompson need a wife to keep his nephews and niece. Mary Warner is shy Louisiana librarian who believes that she will never find love. But then Mary answers Travis ad for a wife and takes a chance of a lifetime.
"Morning Comes Softly" is an okay book by Debbie Macomber and unlike books by Ms. Macomber this book is not very good. This characters are flat and uniteresting. Readers may want to avoid this book.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Taking a Chance
This was the second of now many books, I have read by Debbie MaComber. This led me to find others. In a time when newpaper adds were much the same as mail order brides, this was a fun read.
Not unlike todays computer connections, where we meet someone too.
Debbie makes this book interesting and fun.
Thanks I have recommended it to others.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Reading Comes Softly
If you want a feel good, relaxing, easy to read book to help erase the stress from work and carpools, reach for this book. Grab your favorite quilt and a steaming rich cup of hot chocolate and lose yourself in this book. I recommend it for all.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Terrible for Ms. Macomber
The characters in this book were largely two-dimensional and quite aggravating. The plot itself is a well-used but solid one - lonely single woman seeks new life with mail-order husband who is caregiver to darling orphans. However, this rendition of it is not satisfying. Travis is annoyingly stubborn, and Mary is nearly as bad. And, the fact that neither of them even think about birth control in this day and age (and their age!) is far-fetched as well. The obstacles in their relationship could have ... Read More
