Product Description:

Jack Audley has been a highwayman.

A soldier. And he has always been a rogue. What he is not, and never wanted to be, is a peer of the realm, responsible for an ancient heritage and the livelihood of hundreds. But when he is recognized as the long-lost son of the House of Wyndham, his carefree life is over. And if his birth proves to be legitimate, then he will find himself with the one title he never wanted: Duke of Wyndham.

Grace Eversleigh has spent the last five years toiling as the companion to the dowager Duchess of Wyndham. It is a thankless job, with very little break from the routine . . . until Jack Audley lands in her life, all rakish smiles and debonair charm. He is not a man who takes no for an answer, and when she is in his arms, she's not a woman who wants to say no. But if he is the true duke, then he is the one man she can never have . . .

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Fun Read
I am so glad I didn't read any reviews before I bought and read this book, because I absolutely loved it from start to finish. I have enjoyed all of Julia Quinn's books but I think THE LOST DUKE OF WYNDHAM is her best book yet. I started laughing out loud when I read the dedication and I laughed through the entire book. I really hate to spend money on a book that I don't enjoy and therefore I sympathize with those reviewers who felt this book wasn't one of Quinn's best, but I, myself, thought ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not perfect, but I liked it
I think what did it for me with this book was Jack. I absolutely loved him !!!! I read ALOT, and I have to say, Jack is one of my favorite male characters ever! Some people may not appreciate his sense of humor, but I did.
He was funny, flirty, witty, and I just loved his sarcasm!
Absolutely loved it! But thats just me, thats my kind of humor. I'm not sure however how I feel about Grace.
She's likeable, but not a very strong leading character. At times it seems like she's just along ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Fun and escapist
I found the novel to be fun, humorous, and there was plenty of chemistry between the main characters, which is what I look for in a romance novel. I'm really not sure why everyone is being so hard on this book.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Really liked it
Have always enjoyed Julia Quinns novels. She tells a good story with likeable characters. Looking forward to the follow up.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Below her standard-but worth the read
I've been a Julia Quin fan since reading the Bridgerton Series. However, I don't think this book was up to the caliber of the other books she's written. I found it a little far-fetched that on the basis of a few words and seeing partial facial features in the dark the Dowager Duchess would determine that this was her long-lost grandson. I liked Jack's sense of humor, but it took WAY too long to end the book when you knew good and well that he was the true heir because that's the way it's supposed to ... Read More
