I got my copy of The Cage on a trip to the Holocaust museum with my family, when I was in the 5th grade. On the drive back, I did nothing but read this book. Since then (I'm now 19) I've re-read it so many times that it's falling apart. Riva's story is compelling, heart wrenching, and still beautiful and courageous. Read More Rating: - an amazing story of survivala well written book which has all the necessary elements to keep readers engaged from cover to cover. this book tugged at my emotions all the way through; i was horrified and saddened by the losses within the author's family unit, yet also inspired by her fight for survival and how she used her poetry to keep others fighting as well. a truly inspirational and quick read. highly recommended.
